ISO 45001 – Future of Security

ISO 45001 new standard is developed according to the high-level structure (HLS) of the Annex SL and will therefore be aligned with recent revisions of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, the update of which pays particular attention to risk management. The Compliance with the international standard ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Specification) ensures the fulfillment of the requirements for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and grants Organizations the improvement of risk assessment and performance, keeping into consideration context and stakeholders (the so-called "interested parties"). The standard can be adopted by Organizations operating in all types of sectors and activities and has the aim to implement a systematic control, knowledge, awareness and management of all the possible risks related to normal and extraordinary operating situations in workplaces.   ISO 45001 standard also requires the management commitment, and the direct workers involvement in the creation and management of the system, thus implementing a virtuous circle for the improvement of the health and safety of the workers themselves. ISO 45001 certification is based on the management of health and safety at work and requires the Organizations a continuous improvement, thus granting all the interested parties the Compliance with the specified safety policies.
